Job Description

The Facility Maintenance Technician Lead provides daily work directions to Facility Maintenance Technicians under the direction of the Maintenance Manager. The Facility Maintenance Technician Lead is responsible for ensuring all safety policies, quality management systems, and departmental practices are followed.
Work Schedule :
1st Shift, Monday thru Friday Responsibilities Provides daily work direction to facility maintenance technicians Ensures maintenance work is completed correctly and is a timely manner Mentors and trains facility maintenance technicians Completes more complex repairs, preventative maintenance, and trouble shoots issues on all facility related equipment. Coordinates planned work to maximize maintenance efficiencies Provides back-up department leadership when Maintenance Manger is unavailable Ensures maintenance employees always follow safety protocols Assist in implementation of facility improvement projects Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent Skills and Abilities Must be able to work with limited to no supervision Must have effective interpersonal and communication skills to be able to mentor/train other maintenance personnel Must have effective leadership skills Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Must have excellent management and supervisory skills Must be able to support other maintenance areas Attendance is an essential function of the position Must be able to read, write, and speak English Education and Experience Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience required Must have project work experience, lead capacity preferred Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Regularly Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls Talk and hear to coordinate and operate equipment Use of safety equipment as dictated by the work (safety glasses, safety shoes, respirators, face shields, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) Exposure to moving mechanical parts Frequently Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Work in temperature extremes, wet and/or humid conditions, with dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, and risk of electrical shock and non-hazardous chemical agents Occasionally Sit Exposure to noise levels above the OSHA action level requiring use of hearing protection Work at elevated heights Other Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
