Job Description
We are seeking a Site Supervisor to join our team! If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are genuinely positive and enjoy working for an organization that is growing, you could be a great fit for this position. The Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activities of our shop and drop yard operation in Crowley, TX, including the supervision of diesel technicians who are responsible for maintaining class 8 tractors and 53-foot dry van trailers. The Site Supervisor also actively participates in those maintenance activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES INCLUDE
- Serve as our senior representative at the Crowley, TX location.
- Report directly to the Maintenance Manager at our home office in the St. Louis, MO area.
- Daily supervision of diesel technicians - assigning jobs in a manner that will ensure they are done timely and accurately.
- Daily yard checks to determine what equipment is present and what maintenance is required.
- Discuss equipment issues with drivers to ensure repairs are done properly.
- Coordinate with our freight operations and driver recruiting departments to prioritize maintenance work.
- Review completed repair orders with technicians to ensure repairs are resolved.
- Ensure technicians maintain safe, clean, and productive work areas.
- Ensure driver and office facilities within the shop building are properly maintained and serve their intended purpose.
- Other related duties that may be required from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- A minimum of three (3) years related experience in transportation equipment maintenance.
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
