The DOM holds final authority over all maintenance-related departments, including the maintenance shop, inspection, scheduling, training, parts, and the CASS. The DOM holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate and possesses RTS authority. For clarity in the General Maintenance Manual (GMM), other positions may be described as having "control" or "responsibility" for specific functions.
