We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all maintenance activities within our Residences at The Union property. This full-time position requires a hands-on leader with experience in supervising maintenance teams, particularly in electrical repairs such as appliances, fixtures, switches, and outlets, as well as plumbing tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills, enabling them to coordinate maintenance tasks efficiently and ensure high-quality service delivery. This is an in-office position, and the successful applicant will play a critical role in maintaining the overall functionality and safety of our property, while also mentoring and guiding the maintenance staff to achieve operational excellence. Qualifications EPA Certification (required) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Knowledge of safety programs, policies, procedures, and housing laws Effective verbal and written communication skills, Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Inventory management experience (parts/supplies tracking) Prior management/supervisory experience preferred Ability to meet deadlines for 100% resident satisfaction Maintain accurate maintenance records and work-in-progress experience documentation Hands-on technical skills across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, general repairs) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and residents Basic computer skills for documenting maintenance activities and managing schedules Availability to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours as needed Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites if necessary Responsabilities Oversee and manage daily maintenance operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Supervise and lead a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Coordinate and perform electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches, and outlets. Manage plumbing repairs and maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and performing necessary repairs. Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and prolong equipment life. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair reports, and inventory. Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to operations. Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices, safety standards, and technical skills. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and develop contingency plans as needed. Ensure the maintenance team adheres to relevant health and safety regulations. Participate in budget planning and cost control initiatives related to maintenance operations.
