The Maintenance supervisor is responsible for general machine and facility maintenance and for providing technical set up and operation of the Shredder System to support the secure destruction of products as a service to customers Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance. Create PM schedules Perform inspections Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work. Qualifications Ability to document and maintain procedures and record keeping for equipment Basic computer skills such as familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word) required Must speak and understand English language in verbal communication Able to follow verbal and written instructions Able to stand for up to 8 hours or more Able to walk, climb stairs, bend, and reach to work with equipment throughout an 8-hour shift Able to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds Able to use hand tools (e.g., power drill, pliers, etc.) Able to work with exposure to mechanical and electrical currents Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Able to type data accurately and efficiently into a computer system HS or GED plus at least a Certificate, Diploma or Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance 5+ years maintenance experience.
