Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a Service Manager, where your leadership will drive exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence. In this energetic role, you will oversee daily service operations, manage a team of skilled service advisors, and ensure that every vehicle receives top-quality care. Your passion for automotive repair and customer service will help us build lasting relationships with clients while maintaining the highest standards of service efficiency and profitability. Duties Lead and motivate the service department team to deliver outstanding automotive repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance services. Oversee daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and quality control to maximize productivity. Manage customer interactions from initial vehicle intake through service completion, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction. Implement upselling strategies by recommending additional services such as oil changes, alignments, brake repairs, or transmission work to enhance customer value. Coordinate with technicians on complex repairs involving diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, air brakes, shocks & struts, and auto body repairs. Handle auto estimating and service writing to accurately document repairs and generate detailed invoices. Maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure proper handling of cash transactions and parts inventory. Requirements Proven experience in dealership or automotive service management with a strong background in auto repair shop operations. Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, suspension work, brake repair, and diesel engine repairs. Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with service technician roles is highly desirable. Exceptional customer service skills combined with the ability to upsell additional services confidently. Proficiency in auto estimating software and auto service writing practices. Strong leadership abilities to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment. Knowledge of automotive repair specialties such as air brakes, shocks & struts, alignments, tire services, and auto body repairs is preferred. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities.
