Functional Consultant Location:
Houston, TX- Onsite (5 days/week)
Industry:
Midstream Oil & Gas (Refinery Integration) Role Overview We are seeking a senior SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Functional Consultant to support the operational integration of a newly acquired refinery into our midstream oil and gas operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP PM processes within the oil and gas sector, with deep hands-on expertise aligning Maintenance execution with Supply Chain Management (MM/WM) and Financial Control (CO/FI).
Key Responsibilities Refinery Integration:
Lead the assessment, design, and deployment of standardized SAP PM master data and operational maintenance processes across the newly acquired refinery.
Cross-Functional Integration:
Design and optimize integration points between
SAP PM and:
Materials Management (MM): MRO procurement, spare parts management, reservations, and goods movements. Finance & Controlling (FI/CO): Maintenance cost settlement, order costing, work center rates, and capital expenditure (CAPEX vs. OPEX) tracking.
Business Process Standardization:
Align refinery-specific maintenance workflows (preventive, corrective, shutdown/turnaround/outage) with core midstream assets (pipelines, compressor stations, terminals).
Master Data Management:
Oversee clean-up, mapping, and migration of equipment, functional locations, bills of materials (BOMs), maintenance plans, and task lists.
Onsite Collaboration:
Work directly with plant engineers, operations teams, supply chain planners, and finance leads to drive system adoption and change management.
Core Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
8+ years of SAP PM implementation and integration experience in the Oil & Gas industry (Refining and Midstream sectors strongly preferred).
Integration Expertise:
Demonstrated track record of integrating SAP PM with MM, FI, and CO modules in complex operational environments.
Refinery Operations Knowledge:
Strong understanding of refinery asset management, safety/regulatory compliance, equipment strategy, and turnaround management (STOs).
Deployment Experience:
Hands-on involvement in M&A integration, asset data migrations, or rollouts for industrial facilities.
Onsite Mandate:
Ability to work onsite 5 days a week at the facility location.
