We are seeking a Service Supervisor to oversee the daily field operations of the HVAC Service Department, ensuring high-quality workmanship, adherence to safety and appearance standards, and consistent use of ServiceTitan for all workflow documentation. This role serves as the central operational link between the Service Manager, Service Coordinator, and field technicians, maintaining communication throughout the day to ensure readiness, efficiency, and complete visibility of all job activity. The Service Supervisor also plays a critical role in preparing the next day's service plan to improve technician productivity and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review the Daily Dispatch Sheet, open jobs from the previous day, new service requests, and ServiceTitan Dispatch Board. Review technician locations, skillsets, and parts availability for upcoming work. Conduct daily team huddle with technicians discussing daily assignments and priorities confirming every technician has required materials, PPE, and POs. Visit active job sites to support technicians with diagnostics, customer discussions, or troubleshooting. Perform at least one quality inspection per day. Document and address any safety or workmanship deficiencies. Monitor ServiceTitan to confirm all technicians are clocked in, dispatched, and arrived. Review completed jobs in ServiceTitan for photo documentation, notes, materials, and completed forms; Contact technicians for corrections before the end of shift. Maintain open communication with Service Coordinator regarding technician status, job completions, and follow-up needs. Work directly with Service Coordinator conducting midday reviews, real-time updates, billing aspects, dispatch assignments, quote follow-ups, material tracking, etc. Verify Next-Day Readiness completing End of Each Day checklist. Coordinate with the Service Coordinator to confirm customer access, site contact information, and security requirements. Complete all End-of-Day Deliverables. Maintain thorough communication with all technicians ensuring they are aware of all tasks, start times, and locations. Provide updates to the Service Manager on overall department readiness.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED equivalent; additional technical training or certification in HVAC systems is preferred. 3+ years of experience in a service supervisory role leading in the field overseeing commercial HVAC service and repair. 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing chillers, package and split units, boilers, pumps, hydronic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical controls. Experience training and mentoring technicians. Computer proficiency skilled in MS Office Suite; Service Titan experience preferred. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record. Working Environment Work is performed in primarily commercial, industrial, institutional buildings, or other construction areas including outdoors environments with constant exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, metal shavings, moving objects, sharp edges, and temperature extremes. Physical Demands Frequent and repeated hand and arm movement to manipulate tools and related objects Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds individually, and team lifting heavier items. Frequent working at heights and working on ladders. Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Frequent climbing of steps, ladders, and in/out/onto vehicles. Climb ladders and navigate through building mechanical rooms. Regularly bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, reaching, and crouching. Visual acuity to drive motor vehicles.
