It has leveraged the success of this product to introduce additional fan blades on the GEnx Engines that power the Boeing 787 and Boeing 747-8. CFAN has become a leader in advanced composite technology through the use of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. With close to half of its engineering personnel graduating from Texas State University, CFAN relies on this relationship to keep bringing technological breakthroughs in the manufacturing of composite fan blades. Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Business Leader to oversee and drive our facility's maintenance strategy, ensuring operational excellence, equipment reliability, and a strong culture of safety. The Maintenance Business Leader (MBL)will lead all aspects of the Facilities, Maintenance, and Moonshine (FMM) departments. This includes personnel, resource allocation, expense and CAPEX Project budgeting, assuring the upkeep of all building and manufacturing assets, assisting in the design and installation of new systems and the day to day operation of the department. It will entail the direct supervision of three direct reports. The MBL will work collaboratively with Environmental, Health, and Safety and all other departments. The MBL will report to the EHS Leader. This role will also work towards being certified by GE as a Site Security Lead for the facility. They will be committed to improving the uptime of Equipment and Facility equipment and systems, improving their efficiency while reducing risks and promoting workplace safety. Essential Functions Lead Facilities, Maintenance, and Moonshine to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and safe maintenance operations. Lead Site Security, propose improvements and assure program implementation Forecast Equipment utilization, including participating in designing and developing future production capacities and Develop Maintenance Schedules Set Annual Priorities and Goals for the Department Team and Team members Maintain Budget and planning. Maintains manufacturing assets and facility, parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, invoice approvals, etc. Ensure cross-training of team members Own and implement Security and Facility Framework Elements and or Operating Procedures such as Lock-out-tag out, Electrical Program, Fall protection, etc. Drive the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, not reactive. Safety champion and enforce safety standards across all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA and internal EHS protocols. Track attendance, OT, and Productivity Coach and counsel employees Conduct Performance Evaluations with Caring Candor Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the maintenance process Observe control points and equipment Problem Solve and implement cost reductions Initiate and foster collaboration within and between departments Ensure employees are properly trained with continuous development Lead lean methodologies Lead operating rhythm and ensure communication flow down Other duties as assigned by leadership Competencies Negotiation Skills Conflict Resolution Critical Thinking Time Management Communication Skills Decision Making Problem Solving Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Performing the duties of this job will require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend, stand, reach, and mostly requires walking. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or 7+ years of relevant work experience 2-5 years of Leadership Experience 2-5 years Security Experience 2-5 years of Environmental Health and Safety experience Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
