Service Manager:

Oversee the service department, ensuring high-quality repairs, maintaining efficiency, and delivering excellent customer service. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate service technicians and support staff. Conduct training sessions to improve technical skills and safety awareness. Hire, train, and develop personnel; lead weekly meetings to align on goals and improve efficiency. Create and manage a priority-based service schedule, assigning work based on technician strengths and workloads. Oversee daily workflow in trailer, diesel, and/or equipment repair divisions. Review and validate work orders before billing to ensure accuracy. Monitor service department budgets, labor costs, and inventory expenses. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding service inquiries, repair status, and concerns. Address and resolve complaints promptly and professionally. Direct trailer repair, maintenance, welding, and electrical service. Troubleshoot and resolve complex repair issues; ensure proper diagnostic procedures are followed. Partner with manufacturers for warranty support. Enforce safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations. Maintain a robust safety structure and conduct regular inspections. Ensure availability and maintenance of shop tools and service equipment. Oversee shipping/receiving of equipment; manage parts inventory. Coordinate with parts and sales departments to support operations. Implement and maintain quality control processes to meet company and customer standards. Analyze service data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and efficiency opportunities. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards for reliability and safety.

Required Experience:

Three (3) years of experience in truck and trailer service/maintenance.
