Staybridge Suites Houston Stafford is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep, safety, and overall condition of our extended-stay hotel. We are looking for a motivated professional who takes pride in their work, manages priorities effectively, and collaborates professionally with every department. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for completing guestroom and property repairs, managing the hotel's established preventive maintenance program, responding promptly to work orders, and helping ensure a safe, comfortable experience for our guests and employees. Key Responsibilities Complete and properly document guestroom and property work orders in a timely manner Manage and consistently complete the hotel's established preventive maintenance program Ensure scheduled preventive maintenance tasks are performed correctly, documented, and completed by their deadlines Perform routine repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliances, drywall, painting, locks, fixtures, and general building maintenance Inspect the property regularly and identify maintenance or safety concerns before they become larger problems Prioritize urgent guest-related repairs while ensuring routine assignments and projects are completed on schedule Maintain the hotel's pool, equipment, mechanical rooms, exterior areas, and other facilities as required Keep maintenance areas, tools, supplies, and inventory clean, organized, and secure Track repair needs, replacement parts, expenses, inspections, and completed work Coordinate with approved vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required Communicate clearly with management, housekeeping, front desk, and other department supervisors Respond professionally to maintenance requests assigned by authorized members of the hotel's leadership team Assist with room inspections and ensure guestrooms meet Staybridge Suites and IHG standards Follow all safety procedures, brand standards, and applicable local regulations Participate in emergency response and occasional after-hours or weekend calls when necessary Qualifications Previous hotel, apartment, commercial property, or building maintenance experience required Supervisory or lead maintenance experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliances, painting, drywall, and general repairs EPA and CPO certifications are preferred Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently, accept direction, and follow assigned priorities Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude Reliable attendance and the ability to report to work as scheduled Ability to safely lift, carry, climb, bend, kneel, and work on ladders as required Reliable transportation Availability for occasional emergency calls, weekends, or schedule adjustments What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, organized, and accountable.
