Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a hands-on Equipment Maintenance Manager to keep our fleet, striping equipment, and shop operations running efficiently. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on company equipment while ensuring the shop and warehouse remain organized and properly stocked. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, and proactive in preventing downtime. While equipment maintenance is the primary responsibility, this role also manages inventory levels, orders materials and repair parts, and maintains accountability for company tools and assets. Primary Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain striping machines, small engines, trucks, trailers, and other company equipment. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues. Coordinate outside repairs when necessary and verify quality of completed work. Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for all equipment. Inventory & Purchasing Perform weekly inventory counts and maintain established minimum stock levels. Order paint, glass beads, traffic control supplies, repair parts, shop supplies, and other materials as needed. Receive and organize incoming shipments. Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor usage to prevent shortages. Warehouse & Facility Responsibilities Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and warehouse. Ensure company tools are properly stored, maintained, and accounted for. Assist with general facility maintenance and repairs. Support field crews by preparing equipment and materials for upcoming projects. Qualifications Experience maintaining and repairing small engines, hydraulic systems, trailers, and work trucks. Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience required. Experience with preventive maintenance programs preferred. Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to become certified. Strong organizational and inventory management skills. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a shop environment. Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
