Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Head of Maintenance / Chief Engineer to lead our maintenance operations and ensure the optimal performance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of industrial maintenance, managing a team of technicians, and implementing innovative strategies to maintain safety, efficiency, and reliability across our production environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement in facilities management. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure timely repair and preventive maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and facilities. Develop, implement, and oversee maintenance management programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset history, and inventory. Manage electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. Oversee HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting to optimize operational performance. Coordinate with project management teams on facility upgrades, equipment installation, and infrastructure improvements. Conduct regular inspections of manufacturing facilities to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions proactively. Ensure adherence to safety protocols related to industrial maintenance, electrical work, high voltage systems, and the use of testing tools such as ohmmeters. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, incident reports, safety audits, and compliance records. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through training initiatives focused on technical skills like PLC programming (Programmable Logic Controllers), schematics reading, and industrial maintenance best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize energy efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance overall facility performance. Experience Proven management experience leading maintenance or engineering teams within manufacturing or industrial environments. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems (including low voltage and high voltage), HVAC systems, and facilities management. Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, CMMS software implementation, and troubleshooting industrial equipment. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high safety standards. Maintain Best Western standardized maintenance logs (monthly, quarterly, annually). Demonstrated project management expertise in executing facility upgrades or large-scale maintenance projects on time and within budget. Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration across departments. Familiarity with Ohmmeters for electrical testing and diagnostics is highly desirable.
