$29.00•$33.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician / Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a premier multifamily community in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of apartment maintenance experience , strong HVAC troubleshooting and repair skills, and possess a valid EPA Universal Certification or CFC Certification . This individual will lead daily maintenance operations, support and mentor maintenance staff, ensure resident service requests are completed efficiently, and help maintain the property to the highest standards of safety and appearance. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities for a multifamily residential community. Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance, and building systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently and accurately. Complete service requests and work orders in a timely manner. Oversee apartment turns and make-ready processes to ensure units are move-in ready. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential issues before they become major repairs. Train, mentor, and support maintenance team members. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and local building codes. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies. Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed. Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and team members. Required Qualifications 5+ years of multifamily/apartment maintenance experience required Previous Lead Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Senior Maintenance Technician experience preferred EPA Universal Certification or CFC Certification required Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and general maintenance Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Preferred Qualifications CAMT (Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician) Pool Certification Experience with property management software such as Yardi, RealPage, or Entrata Additional HVAC certifications Compensation & Benefits $29.00•$33.00 per hour Opportunities for overtime Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Employee Apartment Discount (where applicable) Professional Development and Advancement Opportunities #
