Dining Services Director Spring Arbor of Williamsburg is looking for an experienced Dining Services Director to lead the culinary team at our 58-bed Assisted Living & Memory Care community! If you have a passion for preparing exceptional meals, leading a team, and creating memorable dining experiences for seniors, we'd love to meet you!
Schedule:
Monday-Friday; 8am - 5pm Manager-on-Duty rotation
What We're Looking For:
✔️ ServSafe Manager Certification required ✔️ Minimum of 4 years of hands-on cooking and menu planning experience, preferably in senior living or the hotel industry ✔️ At least 2 years of leadership experience ✔️ A flexible, hands-on leader with a strong work ethic and unwavering integrity ✔️ Passion for providing outstanding hospitality and resident-centered dining experiences This is an excellent opportunity to join a team dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents through exceptional food and service. The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Director is to assist the Executive Director (ED) in maintaining and operating the physical aspects of the Community. The Maintenance Director will organize, participate in, direct, and supervise the Community maintenance program in an efficient, cost-effective manner. Safely meeting residents' needs in strict accordance with Company policies and procedures and in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Areas of Responsibility Recruit, train, manage, motivate, and evaluate Maintenance personnel (where applicable) according to Company policies and procedures. Schedule Maintenance personnel (where applicable) to ensure that the Community is appropriately always staffed including weekends and in the event of an emergency. Oversee and monitor that the Maintenance personnel (where applicable) are properly accounting for hours worked using time clock system. Review the time clock records at least twice weekly. Submit payroll and new hire paperwork as required. Prepare Maintenance budget within approved guidelines and according to Company policies and procedures, utilizing review of maintenance purchases and discussion of future projects or needs with the ED. Complete monthly maintenance task list items and review with ED. Coordinate Community Safety Committee. Conduct regular meetings according to Company policy. Ensure all ACHA regulations and policies are followed per life safety codes. Check and maintain the Building Life safety system, i.e. Fire panel, for proper operation daily. Check operation of HVAC, i.e. cooling towers/chillers, circulation pumps, rooftop units, exhaust fans and any energy management, computer-based systems for faults daily. Oversee and coordinate the work of contractors at the Community to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and to contract specifications. Other job duties assigned - see full job description. Required Qualifications Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Minimum of 2 years maintenance-related experience in senior living, hospitality, apartment complex, or similar background. Includes working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems. Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening. The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy. Preferred Qualifications Technical school diploma preferred. EPA 608 Certification preferred. OSHA and pool maintenance certification desirable.
