Full-Time, Direct Hire Position Overview We are hiring a Maintenance Manager to lead a growing maintenance team and build a modern, proactive maintenance function at a fast-evolving food production facility. This is a ground-floor leadership opportunity where you will not simply maintain systems, you will shape them. You'll step into a role with strong executive backing, the ability to implement new systems, and real authority to drive uptime, process improvements, and facility modernization. You'll have direct responsibility for team leadership, preventative maintenance programs, emergency repairs, vendor management, and long-term automation initiatives. Manage team schedules, prioritize emergency repairs, oversee compressors, boilers, preventive maintenance, inventory, vendor relations, and support cross-functional plant operations.Quality Control:
Conduct root cause analyses, implement CAPAs, audit mechanical and GMP standards, validate equipment setups, and address maintenance SOP deviations.Team Leadership:
Train new and current Technicians, ensure completion of required trainings, support production teams, and lead by example in company policies and safety practices.Safety and Compliance:
Maintain a safe work environment through audits, enforcement of GMPs and PPE use, prompt hazard resolution, and incident reporting.Continuous Improvement:
Foster lean practices, identify process improvement opportunities, and engage teams in continuous improvement initiatives.Documentation and Reporting:
Complete shift reports, maintain accurate equipment and operations documentation, and communicate issues or delays to the VP of Operations. Position Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience in maintenance, plant engineering, or facility operations Strong knowledge of maintenance operations, including anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems, RPM, and budgeting (including capital expenditures) Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, both one-on-one and in small group settings Solid understanding of traffic laws, equipment operation, use of power/manual tools, manufacturing processes, and safety protocols Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred Why Join Us?
