293325543 Job Description This position will be filled at level I, II or Senior, based on candidate qualifications. This Planner/Coordinator position supports transmission planning. Preference will be shown for candidates with a minimum of two years' utility work experience such as a state certified electrician, power generation electrician or mechanic, millwright or experience in a similar journey or career level occupation providing comparable knowledge of transmission & distribution. Planner Coordinator I Overview This role contributes to planning and scheduling processes within the Planner Coordinator job family. Employees in this role contribute to the development of field crew work procedures and/or related asset and equipment documentation used by others to plan, execute, and maintain District assets and systems over the full life cycle of the asset. Maintain accurate and complete asset records and contribute to development of project work schedules. Coordinate with subject matter experts including craft workers, vendors, contractors, engineers, biologists, etc. to develop job plans and preventative maintenance plans for low complexity District assets. Monitor work or project plan accuracy. Facilitate workforce and/or contractor coordination, scheduling, and implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance activities. Assist with resource estimation and acquisition. Responsibilities Develop job plans and preventative maintenance plans. Contribute to the development of maintenance work packets for apprentices and other skilled trade crews and/or contractors. Assist subject matter experts to develop safe, compliant, and efficient work procedures for lower complexity projects or components of a more complex project. Develop simple resource estimates in coordination with engineers, management, or other subject matter experts. Conduct research and recommend maintenance intervals and activities. Enter accurate and complete maintenance tasks and records into District systems. Perform peer review of existing records and update as needed. Facilitate the execution of job plans and preventative maintenance plans Develop basic construction or maintenance work activity or project schedules. Coordinate with a variety of staff and management to determine the sequence of work and maintain the schedule in automated systems. Coordinate the acquisition of resources (labor, materials, tools, vehicles, etc.) and monitor delivery in accordance with project schedules. Purchase materials or supplies, as needed, to remain on time and on budget. Maintain the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) asset records and attributes. Populate asset specifications. Identify compliance requirements. Update or create related records, procedures, or work instructions upon project completion. Contribute to small or mid-level project planning and delivery by assisting with the development of resource estimates and assisting in coordinating the acquisition of those resources. Participate in the implementation of process changes, new standards, and system updates. Generate routine reports as needed to support business decision making. Maintain regular and predictable attendance: Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Comply with District policies. Complete all required training. Maintain a working knowledge and comply with District safety procedures and specific safety requirements of this position, and those in accordance with applicable provisions of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Washington Administrative Code (WAC). A. or B.S.) in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business or a related field, or journeyman certification as a wireman, mechanic, or other close related trade is required. Equivalent experience (year for year) may substitute for required education. Experience 1 year of experience providing operational support or maintaining assets such as hatcheries, water/wastewater management facilities, hydroelectric, building systems, heavy equipment, fleet or industrial equipment. Experience shall include examples of contributions to the development and/or application of safe work procedures and examples of simple labor or materials estimating and project scheduling using computerized systems is preferred. Experience working with maintenance management and project management systems such as Maximo or Primavera is preferred. Licenses and Certifications Valid Driver's License at hire and WA Driver's License within 30 days of hire Skills and Abilities A fully skilled incumbent will have the following knowledge skills & abilities: Working knowledge of mechanical or engineering principles, practices and procedures regarding design and project implementation of the assigned asset systems. Must be able to read and apply construction and/or vendor drawings, technical specifications, and product/equipment manuals in daily work. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Knowledge of basic asset management principles. Basic knowledge of applicable industrial safety requirements such as Lock-out Tag-out, confined space, fall restraint, hazardous material handling, and waste disposal. Proficient use of computers.
