Are you a seasoned Fleet Maintenance Manager or know someone with a passion for innovation and leadership? As we expand in the Milwaukee region, we're looking for a dynamic, hands-on professional to help drive our operations forward into the future of clean, efficient transportation. What's the opportunity? We've opened a second maintenance facility to support our growth — and we need the right leader to oversee both: A conventional school bus fleet maintenance facility, ensuring safe, reliable daily operations for thousands of students. One of the largest electric school bus maintenance operations in the country, at the forefront of sustainable transportation. In this role, you'll: Lead and develop high-performing maintenance teams across both sites. Manage the setup and successful launch of our new facility. Optimize preventative maintenance programs, safety compliance, and fleet reliability. Champion the adoption of cutting-edge EV maintenance practices and technology. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, dispatch, and leadership teams. Bring expertise in diagnostics, shop workflow, and vendor management to the table. Be a key voice in shaping the future of zero-emission student transportation.
Minimum Education & Certifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Technical training preferred ASE certified strongly preferred Diesel certification strongly preferred
Requirements & Expectations:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the transportation industry, including repairing and maintaining medium and heavy-duty vehicles 3+ years of direct maintenance shop supervision. Familiar with alternative fueled and/or electric vehicle technology preferred. Good written & verbal communication skills. The ability to work varied hours and early morning hours as required. Dress in a professional and appropriate manner. Perform all job functions in the safest manner adhering to OSHA guidelines & other applicable Federal& State laws Execute all job duties while following company policy and procedures Managerial experience preferred CDL required (training provided) Good verbal communication skills. Must maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward fellow employees and customers. Ability to use or learn to use the internet, additional programs as required, and office equipment, including fax and phones or other electronic devices Proficient in advanced vehicle diagnostic applications and maintenance practices • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office If you're ready to bring your fleet expertise, people leadership, and innovative mindset to a role that offers growth, purpose, impact, and industry leadership, Milwaukee is the place to be.
