This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels in a fast-paced industrial environment and is passionate about equipment reliability, employee development, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving equipment performance, increasing uptime, reducing unplanned downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a collaborative leader who can effectively balance technical problem-solving with team development and operational support. As a member of the site leadership team, you will work cross-functionally with operations, quality, engineering, and other support functions to optimize manufacturing performance and ensure long-term asset health. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a skilled maintenance workforce while promoting safe work practices and operational discipline. Drive reliability initiatives through preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies. Partner with production teams to improve equipment availability, throughput, and overall operational efficiency. Develop team capabilities through mentoring, performance management, technical training, and succession planning. Foster a proactive safety culture through risk identification, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions. Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting, repair activities, and maintenance best practices. Utilize maintenance management systems and performance data to prioritize work, improve planning effectiveness, and support data-driven decision making. Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and extend asset life cycles. Support production needs through flexible scheduling and occasional off-hours leadership coverage when required. Minimum Qualifications Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating maintenance or technical teams. Background in manufacturing, industrial operations, production environments, military operations, or other equipment-intensive settings. Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or equivalent maintenance planning tools. Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems, including PLCs, motors, drives, instrumentation, or related technologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading maintenance teams in high-speed manufacturing, packaging, paper products, converting, or similar industrial environments. Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling processes, including work order management and coordination of maintenance resources. Proven track record of improving equipment performance, safety outcomes, and operational reliability. Postsecondary education in engineering, industrial maintenance, manufacturing technology, or a related technical discipline. Demonstrated success using maintenance metrics and reliability data to drive continuous improvement initiatives and reduce downtime.
