Job Summary Supervise employees in the operation, maintenance, and repair of power plant equipment by planning, organizing, and directing the activities required to ensure productivity and safety. Job Responsibilities Drive the performance of employees for both productivity and safety Plan and conduct safety meetings to communicate safety requirements Plan and conduct team meetings Manage work assignments to minimize overtime while maintaining optimal productivity Coach and counsel employees to achieve optimum performance. Consult with the others as necessary regarding disciplinary issues Evaluate performance and conduct annual performance reviews with individual represented employees Work with union stewards to discuss and resolve employee issues and conflicts Lead safety and team meetings with direct reports to share information and promote safe work practices Support diversity by actively seeking out and encouraging diversity in perspective and by establishing an environment of inclusion Manage and prioritize assigned work Track and monitor job progress Work with Senior Supervisors to train staff in job skills Apply knowledge of business unit and company policies to the administration and management of work Apply knowledge of environmental policy to decisions regarding plant operations and maintenance Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma, HSED, or GED Five to 10 years' experience in power plant operations and/or maintenance or similar industry or five to 10 years' experience in supervision. Good working knowledge of labor agreements and relationships is preferred. Ability to communicate with and establish and maintain good working relationships with employees, union representatives and plant management Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of plant boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment from the perspectives of OEM Operating and Maintenance procedures and technical aspects of design Knowledge of chemical hazards and safe handling procedures Working knowledge of basic chemistry, principles of heat transfer, fluid flow, lubrication, metallurgy, electrical theory and distribution, and control systems, including field instrumentation Basic understanding of OSHA requirements Formal engineering or technical training beyond high school is preferable

$90,507.56
Pay Range Maximum :
$156,125.32 The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
