Position Specific Description Florida Power & Light Company's Customer Service Business Unit is seeking a Helper to join their team. This position is located at our Broward Meters in Oakland Park, FL. The Helper is responsible for removing and installing existing self-contained single phase on-demand Meters in customer field facilities as a one-person crew only after receiving the single phase, self-contained meter portion of the Meterman B Training Program. The successful candidates' responsibilities will also include: Operating in a safe manner at all times in accordance with all safety rules and have excellent safe driving record Must be able to read watt-hour meter registers and distinguish the different types of meters and type code. Assisting Meter Electrician "A" or "B" as part of the crew make-up for ladder runs and CT cable pulls and multiple meter sets of more than four (4) meters. Must be able to work in the direct sunlight, climb ladders and do all other assigned tasks. Must be willing to travel, support storm events and work extended hours •Employees hired through this MOU will be required to stay within the Customer Service Business Unit for six months from hired date•Work Schedule Monday to

7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with extended hours as necessary. Job Overview This classification helps and assists experienced employees in performance of work. They perform duties which do not require any particular skill. Works under the direction of the Maintenance Leader.

Accountabilities:

Performs unskilled work and assists skilled employees. Functions in support of other classifications and their respective accountability. Performs associated responsibilities according to the rules contained in the safe work practices handbook and the Memorandum of Agreement.
