Completes service orders on metered utility services. Collects and records metered service data using GPS. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of:
Water meter types, setup, and configuration of radio transmitters. Electric meter types, applicable safety practices, and PPE. Basic National Electric Codes for electric metered services. Common GPS mapping software applications. Relevant laws and regulations pertaining to electric and water metering. Standard practices, methods, materials, tools, equipment, and safety practices of water and electric meters and billing.Skill in:
Typing and/or data entry with minimal errors. Communicating verbally to meet the audience's needs. Applying active listening and asking questions for understanding. Developing and maintaining effective work relationships. Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to:
Use and maintain hand tools. Handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure and maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Provide high levels of effective customer service. Read and interpret written and verbal instructions. Maintain accurate records. Work outdoors in inclement weather conditions. Work independently and as a member of a team. Use software and hand-held devices. Focus on tasks. Ability to work on-call and respond at all hours of the day/night.
