• Full-time Description Texas Meter & Device is hiring for a full-time water meter reader in the Georgetown, Tx area.

This is a full-time position and we need someone that is available to start soon. Under the general direction of the Project/Field Supervisor, the Meter Reader will be reading residential and commercial water meters. Responsibilities include : Will read residential class and commercial class water meters Use a hand held device provided by the company to record accurate read information Maintain accurate records of work completed Oversee any materials, uniforms, equipment, vehicle and tools required to complete the work Be punctual and dependable to a set work schedule Recording of subsequent information in the field as required Coordinate scheduling and meets quality / quantity requirements Provide for excellence in internal and external customer service by creating a positive experience for customers, end users and communities through professional and courteous behavior and producing high quality results Demonstrate, at all times, safety in all aspects of the work including driving, parking, accessing customer property, and adherence to all TMD safety standards and operating procedures Other duties and tasks as assigned or necessary

Qualifications Requirements :

Must reside within a reasonable commute to the Georgetown, Tx area as no per diem nor relocation allowance is associated with this position. Mechanical aptitude is necessary Ability to use hand held device and other equipment as required for the position Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to stand on feet, bend or stoop for a prolonged period of time. The work is performed outdoors and through inclement weather as necessary Ability to carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner Stable Multi-year Work History Clear criminal history Attention to Detail Dependability Previous meter reading experience preferred but not required Good Communication Skills (speaking, reading and writing) Must have a valid driver's license and excellent driving record Must be a minimum of 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of personal or professional driving experience due to insurance requirements Must have own personal Smart phone Ability to safely operate a company vehicle at all times

Additional Requirements:

Background check clearance including drug screening and I-9 documentation as required by law

Shift and Pay Info:

After training, pay is $23/hour and will be tied to production requirements. Training wage is $18/hr and training generally lasts 2-5 days . Monday
