Underground Utility Locator (Private Locating)

Job Summary We are hiring an Underground Utility Locator to perform private utility locating for both commercial and residential customers. This position involves locating and marking underground utilities using electromagnetic (EM/RF) equipment and ground penetrating radar (GPR) . What You'll Do Locate and mark underground private utilities (IE electric, gas, water, sewer, telecom) Use locating equipment (EM/RF locators, GPR, etc.) Accurately document findings for office staff Communicate with contractors, project managers, and property owners Work independently Follow all safety procedures and company standards Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to walk long distances and lift up to 50 lbs Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Preferred Qualifications Previous utility locating experience (811 or private locating) Experience with GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) Pay & Structure Weekly pay Option to work as W-2 employee or 1099 contractor Flexible pay structure: hourly, commission, or combination (based on experience and preference) Perks Company vehicle (take-home) Gas card provided Flexible scheduling depending on workload Opportunity to grow with a small, fast-moving company About Us We are a growing small business based in Leesburg, VA , serving Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland .
