Maintenance Technician Job Description A Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of a facility's equipment, machinery, and physical structures. The role ensures operations run safely and efficiently by transitioning from reactive repairs to proactive preventive maintenance. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, clean and lubricate machinery, and change filters or lightbulbs to prevent equipment failure. Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Handle general repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and masonry. Maintain accurate records of work orders, material consumption, and labor hours, often using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and manage hazardous waste disposal. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calvert, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
