$39.53/hr. Physical Location Riverdale Mill 601 County Road 78 Selma , AL 36703Category/Shift :
Hourly Full-Time / Days ( 7 am- 3 :30pm

- Friday ) Job Requirements At least 18 years of age Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience Eligible for employment in the US At least three ( 3 ) years of work experience as a Millwright Must be willing to meet the following requirements: Work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, elevated working surfaces, and confined spaces (with proper safety training and safety protection) Undergo technical online testing, interview, and a formal hands-on assessment of skills Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment Undergo a job-related health assessment as a condition of employment Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis Wear required safety equipment It is preferred that candidates have the following skills and/or experience(s): Associates degree or certification(s) in the Millwright discipline A minimum of 3 years work experience in the Millwright discipline Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.
The Job You Will Perform:
This position will assist journeymen-level mechanical maintenance technicians in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently. Our world class Global Manufacturing Training program provides paid hands-on experiences and classroom instruction to prepare you for your next promotion Duties include, but are not limited to:- Install machine and equipment according to lay-out plan, blueprints and other drawings
- Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, dial indicators and laser alignment equipment
- Install machinery, new and existing equipment
- Repair and lubricate machine and equipment
- Refurbish/maintain valves, pumps, gear boxes, bearings, agitators, conveyors, turbines, paper machines, lime kiln
- Measure for bearing clearance and shaft diameters
- Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues
- Fabricate structural materials as needed
- Other duties as assigned
