Job Description

Essential Functions:
Perform maintenance required to keep machines, equipment and facility in good/safe operating condition Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment Test malfunctioning machinery or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss operation variations with supervisor or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine Perform welding and repair procedures for all foundry equipment as needed Will perform many various foundry repair procedures to include building maintenance Install or repair various types of conveyor, belting, or transporting equipment Weld foundry produced castings as needed Maintain all foundry equipment to facilitate good foundry practices Will have knowledge of limit switches, timers, coils, and starters Perform preventative maintenance as required Perform housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment Complete paperwork, including scheduling, logs, recordkeeping, PMs, etc. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned Skills or Experience Required Minimum one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. PLC experience/training is preferred
Other Position Demands or Requirements:
Operate mobile equipment (i.e. forklift, man-lift, cranes/hoist, mobile sweeper, bobcat loader, electric cart, etc.), Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS), understand & follow Lockout/Tagout procedure. Operate general hand tools including measurement equipment (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.) Operate manual/automated machines (drill press, grinders, drills, sanders, die grinders, etc.)
Required Tools:
Ball peen hammer, channel lock 440 or equiv., screw drivers 6" wide & narrow, lineman pliers 8", knife (pocket or utility), flashlight, fuse puller, cold chisel ½", ¼" & 5/16" nut driver, Philips #2 6" long, wire cutters, 12' tape std. & metric, multi-meter, long nose pliers 6", 10"adjustable wrench, ¼" punch, allen wrench set std. & metric, crimper pliers, 3/8" to 15/16" combo wrench, electrical tape, lockout/tagout hasp & lock
Requirements:
Lift 70 lbs. on an occasional basis Standing - frequent to continuous Walking - occasional to frequent Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedure following certification Must be able to communicate with other employees Perform with a sense of urgency to limit downtime and impacting production Ø Comply with Company's safety policy & procedures Abide by the established foundry working requirements (attitude, technique, efficiency, safety, attendance & housekeeping)
Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
