AL ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize has immediate openings for a Utility Operator position for its manufacturing facility located in Theodore, AL where you will perform various tasks associated with maintaining plant operations.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Perform basic maintenance, repairs, minor installations, replacements and some elementary electrical work.

Troubleshoot production issues and take appropriate corrective actions.

Perform preheater tower cleaning including the use of Cardox.

Operates various heavy equipment.

Trains other operators, and particpates in team meetings.

Works rotating shift schedule; weekends and holidays as assigned.

Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Education:
High School Diploma/GEDAdditional Education:

Associates/Technical Degree preferred

Required Computer and Software Skills:
Microsoft Word and Microsoft ExcelTravel Requirements:
Minimal Additional Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of industrial experience preferred.
  • A good understanding of the basics of the cement manufacturing process is preferred.
  • High degree of safety awareness.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
