JOB SUMMARY
The
HVAC HELPER
will be responsible for assisting skilled sheet metal workers and foreman in the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of sheet metal & HVAC components on residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems. This position supports daily jobsite operations by handling materials, preparing work areas, and performing basic tasks under supervision while following safety procedures and quality standards.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ASSIST HVAC technicians and Foreman with the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems and components.

MEASURE, cut, assemble, and install ductwork, piping, insulation, and HVAC materials using hand and power tools under the supervision of experienced technicians.

LOAD, unload, transport, and organize HVAC equipment, materials, tools, and supplies at the jobsite.

SET UP and dismantle work areas, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment while maintaining safe working conditions.

ASSIST with equipment installation, ductwork assembly, refrigerant line installation, condensate piping, equipment startup preparation, and other basic HVAC tasks as directed.
MAINTAIN
a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris, cleaning work areas, and properly storing tools and materials.
READ AND FOLLOW
job specifications, blueprints, equipment installation instructions, and verbal directions from supervisors and lead technicians.

COMPLY with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable mechanical codes while using proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
INSPECT, CLEAN, AND MAINTAIN
tools, equipment, and company vehicles to ensure they remain in safe operating condition, reporting any deficiencies to a supervisor.

PERFORM other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.
