Job Title:
Process Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Process Technician to work on a rotating day shift from 6:00p to 6:00a, following a 2/2/3 schedule where you work 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next. You will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and record keeping of injection molding machines and related equipment, including mold/die changes to meet customer requirements. Responsibilities Follow prescribed safety precautions and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) where required. Assist with the installation of molds/dies on machines according to work order specifications using crane hoists. Set up molding machines and ancillary equipment related to the molding process. Document and follow process parameters to ensure repeatable results. Process molding parameters to achieve quality parts and optimized cycle times. Respond to machine alarms promptly. Handle and care for all materials, molds, and tooling properly. Assist with continuous operation of production equipment. Work from engineering prints, BOMs, drawings, blueprints, electrical/electric schematics, and verbal instructions. Utilize hand tools, power tools, electrical hoists, powered industrial trucks, and testing equipment. Diagnose common problems and determine solutions for maintenance and repair operations. Repair or replace various components such as switches, sensors, and more. Assemble, disassemble, and maintain molds and wire switches, installing hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical components. Participate in developing preventative maintenance and standardized work procedures. Essential Skills Production and mechanical skills. Preventive maintenance and machine operating experience. Electrical repair knowledge. Analytical skills. Basic electrical and hydraulics knowledge. Working knowledge of machine, conveyor, and robotic operations. Proficiency with hand and power tools. General knowledge of personal computer operations (MS Office). Intermediate knowledge of injection molding processing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mold construction and maintenance experience. Materials knowledge (plastics, metals, etc.). Basic knowledge of 5S procedures. Husky Injection Molding Machine knowledge is a plus. Experience in fast-paced, high-change environments with limited supervision. Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization and follow-up skills. Ability to manage and troubleshoot work stoppages due to handle installer malfunction. Preventative maintenance experience and ability to recommend equipment improvements. Why Work Here? The environment involves moderate to loud noise levels, requiring hearing protection. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing or sitting for prolonged periods, climbing ladders, working from platforms, and frequent stretching or reaching. The fast-paced atmosphere involves priority changes and short-notice activities. Being on-call may be necessary during high production seasons. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $66500.00/yr.
