Job Description

Join Our Team Precision Science is seeking an experienced Millwright Operator to join our manufacturing team in North Phoenix, Arizona (19th Ave and Deer Valley Road). This is a hands-on production position responsible for safely operating, setting up, adjusting, and monitoring millwright and related production equipment used in our animal health manufacturing operations. The Millwright Operator helps ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established production procedures, GMP requirements, quality standards, and company policies.

  • Safely operate assigned millwright and production equipment according to established procedures.
  • Perform equipment startup, shutdown, setup, and changeover activities.
  • Monitor equipment performance throughout the production process.
  • Make routine operational adjustments within established procedures and training.
  • Monitor production parameters to ensure equipment is operating within established specifications.
  • Inspect equipment before and during operation and immediately report abnormal conditions, unusual sounds, leaks, damage, or performance concerns.
  • Verify that equipment and production areas are clean and ready for use before beginning production.
  • Follow production schedules, batch records, work instructions, SOPs, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Accurately document production activities, equipment checks, material usage, and other required information.
  • Perform in-process checks and communicate quality concerns or deviations to the appropriate supervisor or Quality representative.
  • Assist with product and equipment changeovers while following applicable cleaning and line-clearance procedures.
  • Identify production inefficiencies and communicate opportunities for process improvement.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, and other departments to support production goals.
  • Follow GMP requirements to prevent contamination, cross-contamination, and foreign-material risks.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, including machine guarding, PPE, and applicable lockout/tagout requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production work area.
  • Escalate equipment problems requiring mechanical or technical repair to the appropriate Maintenance personnel.
  • Participate in required safety, GMP, quality, and job-specific training.
  • Perform other production-related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required preferred.
  • 2-5 years of production equipment or industrial machinery operating experience preferred.
  • Experience operating industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand how production equipment operates.
  • Ability to perform equipment setups, changeovers, and routine operational adjustments.
  • Ability to recognize abnormal equipment conditions and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs, batch records, work instructions, and production specifications.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
  • Experience in animal health, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, feed, supplement, or other GMP-regulated manufacturing environments preferred. Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, push, and pull as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Comfortable working around machinery, noise, powders, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts based on production needs.
