Mechanic Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on, skilled Mechanic to join our team and ensure our equipment operates at peak performance. This role involves strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and teamwork in an industrial environment. Responsibilities Maintain and service forklifts and diesel trucks. Perform maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of various pumps and mechanical systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical components and systems. Perform welding tasks such as spot welding, pipe welding, and patching holes (preferred skill). Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency. Work safely in an outdoor industrial setting, adhering to all environmental and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to maintain facility operations and address maintenance needs. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in maintenance/ mechanical experience in industrial or commercial settings. Strong knowledge of pump systems, equipment maintenance, and electrical troubleshooting. Welding experience is a plus. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Valid California Driver's license. Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills. Willingness to obtain a 40-hour

Work Environment Work in an indoor/outdoor hazardous waste facility during the first shift from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Safety is a priority, and all necessary equipment is provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
