OVERALL MURALS
Hiring freelance rigging help to assist in hanging/pipe scaffolding in
San Francisco COMPANY:
Overall Murals specializes in large-scale, hand-painted advertising signs and art murals. Based in Brooklyn since 2010, Overall Murals is consistently cultivating new talent to grow with the company. It all starts from the traditional and painstaking hand crafted process, created with bright pigmented chemicals, and results in our deadline beating masterpieces.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for someone to help with the set up and dismantle of temporary suspended scaffolding so that our paint team can access specific portions of a building to perform their desired work. You will work as a member of an erection/dismantling crew and sometimes to prepare and/or prime a mural space. You will be expected to build and dismantle suspended scaffolds in accordance with company policies, local regulations, and OSHA standards. This is a Freelance or potential Part Time position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following: Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at a later date. Build rigging equipment and anchor/tieback system in accordance with common practices and OSHA standards Build suspended scaffold/swing stage properly and in accordance with common practices and OSHA standards Integrate the rigging and suspend scaffold systems and inspect to make sure the system is working properly Safely pack equipment into and out of buildings so that no damage is incurred Safely and effectively supply material to team members in a logical and organized fashion which includes anticipating the next step Load and unload equipment to and from project sites in an orderly fashion Adhere to safe work practices and procedures so that the job site is free of potential hazards Take corrective action if potential hazards arise so that you and your team are safe from injury Maintain good housekeeping on project sites and cleanup site at end of each day Communicate efficiently and respectfully with customers, project managers, and fellow employees
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Ability to follow instructions in an efficient manner Comfortable with heights and physical labor Problem solving skills Efficient commutation skills Reliability Flexible schedule - Extended out of town work Willingness to learn new concepts and ideas Comfortable driving truck and trailer Previous experience in construction/scaffold industries OSHA certification (30 hour) a plus Freelance or Part-Time Please send a short email and/or cover letter and resume detailing your skills and experience.
