Job Description

WHO YOU ARE
The Mechanical Specialist I is responsible for performing industrial mechanical maintenance and basic electrical repairs on production equipment and support systems. This role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies. Working under the direction of maintenance leadership, the Mechanical Specialist I plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, supporting production needs, and contributing to a safe, team-oriented work environment.
WHERE YOU WILL WORK
In our ClosetMaid Ocala facility.
A 600,000
square feet manufacturing and distribution facility. Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Overtime when/if needed)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and support systems. Conduct mechanical repairs and basic electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments. Perform work up to—but not including—adjustments or repairs of computerized controls. Set up and operate equipment requiring basic electrical adjustments. Provide personal hand tools not supplied by the department. Accurately account for all working time. Communicate issues to supervisors and team members. Perform duties safely and professionally. Comply with company policies. Work effectively in a team environment and maintain attendance. Perform other related duties as assigned to support operations and business needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
7-10 years of related experience. Advanced mechanical knowledge with basic electrical proficiency. Strong understanding of industrial equipment. Effective communication skills.
