Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Install Technician to join our dynamic team, responsible for executing installation projects across multiple locations. The Install Technician is responsible for the installation, assembly, commissioning, and start-up of concrete batching and mixing plants at customer locations throughout North America and Canada. This position serves as a key technical resource during plant construction, equipment installation, system testing, and customer training activities. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment. Extensive travel is required, with assignments ranging from several days to multiple weeks at customer sites. Candidates who are not located near one of the designated plants must live within approximately one hour of a major commercial airport. Airport access must be practical for frequent departures, changing itineraries, and nationwide travel. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and commission concrete batching and mixing equipment. Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and installation plans. Ensure the proper installation of conveyors, aggregate bins, silos, mixers, batch controls, and related systems. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, and automation system issues during installation and start-up. Perform start-up testing and verify proper equipment operation. Assist with the calibration of batching systems and material-weighing equipment. Complete service reports, installation documentation, and daily activity logs. Verify all equipment onsite before the start of each project. Maintain company tools, equipment, and inventory. Follow all company safety procedures and customer-site safety requirements. Provide technical support and emergency troubleshooting when needed. Travel approximately 100% of the time nationwide. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High school diploma or equivalent. Three or more years of experience in industrial equipment installation, construction equipment, manufacturing equipment, or a related industry. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals. Experience using hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work extended hours and weekends when project schedules require. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience with concrete batching plants, aggregate-handling systems, or industrial processing equipment. Welding, fabrication, or millwright experience. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Commercial construction or industrial commissioning experience.
