® is looking for an experienced and well-versed Maintenance Manager to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will be constantly assessing the systems in place to ensure that they are both safe and operating efficiently. This candidate will be comfortable managing a team and conducting analysis in order to highlight areas for improvement. This candidate should also be comfortable ensuring necessary utilities are working correctly and possess strong organizational skills in order to keep track of multiple projects at once.. You'll work as part of a team but will routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety while performing your duties. Responsibilities Proficient in the installation, maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of PLC, compressors, generators, speed increasing/reduction gears, couplings, hydraulics, and shaft alignment a must Escalate any problems early and schedule repairs in order to minimize loss to business Provide leadership to the Resident Maintenance team, directing their job duties, mentoring their development, and providing high-level solutions to challenging technical problems Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs Work with Finance to develop and track budgets Manage third-party contractors Conduct regular assessments and trainings to ensure safety of employees Analyze processes to ensure efficient functioning and perform analysis to make adjustments Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures Implement and audit safety programs and ensure safety procedures are followed Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydraulic components (e. g. bearings, seals, details, carriers, etc.) on industrial machinery such as shafting, motors, generators, air compressors, engines, pumps, cylinders, gears, couplings, linkages, ball screws, high speed CNC spindles, coolant systems and filters, and combustion equipment and valves Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems Use various hand or power tools for measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, bending, soldering, assembling, joining, and installing pipes, valves, and fittings Read and interpret blueprints for the mechanical operation and assembly of conveyor systems, material handling systems, robots, and other automation Operate mobile equipment (e.g. forklifts, vertical lifts, cranes) Knowledge of vibration analysis, machine shop operations, precision machinery alignment techniques Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to construction equipment and machinery Move equipment to appropriate site for repair or maintenance to avoid contamination or workplace safety hazards Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation Experience with MiG and Stick welding Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always Ability to work in a team environment Physical ability to lift to 50 pounds Must be willing to participate in a written test and hands-on interview process Qualifications/Skills BS - Engineering or Technical Degree. (BS, ME preferred). Experience with industrial controls and electrical and electronic maintenance
Work Experience:
5 Years' Manufacturing Maintenance Management/Leadership Proficient computer skills including MS Office, ERP and CMMS software Schedule flexibility to optimize cross shift communication and interaction with all shift personnel Travel Will travel from East Chicago IN to Alsip IL locations Education Advanced plumbing, machining, welding, fabrication, troubleshooting and mechanical skills as demonstrated by the competent performance of four years Journeymen Maintenance responsibilities at PCC or a comparable facility with A millwright training or apprenticeship program preferred
