Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Playground Installer to do the installation of a large commercial playground in Belvidere, Illinois. This is not a residential playset project. Candidates must have hands-on experience installing large-scale commercial, municipal, school, or park playground equipment. The ideal candidate/team will have experience reading installation plans, performing site layout, concrete work, welding, equipment assembly, and ensuring installations meet safety and manufacturer specifications. Responsibilities Install large commercial playground equipment according to manufacturer specifications. Read and interpret site plans, construction drawings, and installation manuals. Perform site layout and equipment positioning. Complete concrete footings and foundations as required. Perform on-site welding and metal fabrication when necessary. Assemble and secure playground structures, slides, climbers, shade structures, and related components. Ensure all installations meet safety standards and project requirements. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Coordinate with project management to complete the installation on schedule. Requirements Experience with municipal, park district, school, or large commercial playground projects. Skilled in welding and concrete work. Experience operating construction tools and equipment. Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding work. OSHA certification preferred. Playground installation certifications are a plus. Materials & Equipment All playground materials and project supplies will be provided. Installer must bring necessary hand tools and equipment required for professional installation. Large tools will be provided on site. Compensation Competitive pay based on experience. Please include details of previous commercial playground projects completed. References and photos of prior installations are highly preferred.
