Millwright Foreman Job Description In this dual role as a Grain Fabricator and Foundation Crew Member, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the movement and flow of grain. Your core duties will involve welding components like flange rings, spouts, transitions, augers, conveyors, and associated bracing and supports. You will assemble conveyors, bucket elevators, and support structures, all while managing a small crew of 3-5 employees. Your job will also require reading and understanding blueprints to fabricate welding requirements as per the design. Occasionally, you will assist the foundation crew in digging foundations and working with concrete. Although installation tasks will take up 85% of your time, you must be flexible and ready to help out with the foundation crew when project deadlines demand it. The materials you will typically work with include stainless steel and galvanized steel. Responsibilities Weld components such as flange rings, spouts, transitions, augers, conveyors, and associated bracing and supports. Assemble conveyors, bucket elevators, and support structures. Manage a crew of 3-5 employees. Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate welding requirements. Assist the foundation crew with digging foundations and working with concrete when required. Work primarily with stainless steel and galvanized steel. Equipment operating experience is required. Willingness to learn from others and be safety conscious. Industrial construction experience is highly preferred. Previous concrete experience. Work Environment This is an outdoor role on a construction site, often working alongside other trades and companies. The work takes place in a grain facility with large grain silos, where truck traffic is common. Employees must be willing to work in all weather conditions, from summer heat and rain to winter cold. The work typically occurs within a 60-mile radius of Lebanon, Indiana. Dress attire includes boots, jeans without holes, and high visibility shirts for safety. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
