Job Description
Overview Industrial Millwright Contractors is a high quality industrial contractor. We offer our team members a 4-day work week, Monday through Thursday. We are seeking highly skilled Mechanical Millwrights to join our team in a fast paced fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will possess 5 years experience, strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial mechanics. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. Responsibilities Install, maintain, repair and assemble industrial machinery and equipment in accordance with layout plans, blueprints and manufacturers' specifications and schematics. Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting to identify mechanical issues and make necessary repairs. Use of hoisting equipment (rigging, chain falls, come-along, fork truck, and signaling of operator). Operation of air tools, cutting torches, welders. To properly utilize
PPE, LOTO
To align shafts, couplings, machinery, leveling and anchoring of various types of machinery and equipment. Work with hydraulics systems to ensure proper functionality of machinery. Operate man lifts and other equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Document maintenance activities and report any significant findings or recommendations for improvements. Perform other duties as assigned or required by supervisor. Experience Proven experience in a manufacturing facility as an industrial mechanic or similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics. Familiarity with field service operations is preferred. Proficient in SMAW welding. Proficiency in FCAW and TIG is a plus. Knowledge of hydraulics systems is advantageous. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Ability to read prints for fabrication and installation. Must possess math skills. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, precision tools, shop equipment and man lifts.
