Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Millwright/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This vital role combines precision mechanical installation, maintenance, and welding expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in industrial mechanics, welding, and electrical systems, along with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving. Your expertise will help maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality across all operations. Duties Install, align, and assemble machinery and equipment using schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints. Perform precision welding using various techniques including welding to repair or fabricate metal components. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and calipers to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues. Operate field service tools like scissor lifts and other industrial lifts to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas safely. Read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies to facilitate repairs or installations. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software. Collaborate with technical sales teams to support customer service efforts by providing technical expertise on equipment repairs or upgrades. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage systems, low voltage controls, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and industrial electrician practices. Support analysis of system failures and implement corrective actions promptly to minimize downtime. Skills Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices. Proficiency in welding techniques specific to welding processes and general fabrication skills. Extensive knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician experience, and HVAC/R systems is highly desirable. Ability to operate industrial tools such as scissor lifts safely while adhering to safety protocols. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues efficiently. Experience working with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation purposes. Excellent customer service skills when engaging with internal teams or external clients during field service operations. Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration; military background is a plus for disciplined work ethic.
