C&T Design and Equipment Co., Inc. is a full concept food service design and equipment supply company that provides services from conception to completion, including consulting, design, development, engineering, project management, and installation. With offices across the US, we are a large, privately-owned commercial food service equipment dealer with over 150 employees. We are seeking a full-time equipment Installer to support our Louisville, Kentucky branch as part of our internal growth strategy. The person who fills this position will need to be in-office in Louisville, with daily travel to surrounding jobsites with frequent travel nationally.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The equipment Installer will perform skilled work in the delivery and installation of commercial kitchen equipment. This work includes loading and unloading of trucks, uncrating equipment and setting in place, constructing refrigerated walk-in boxes, metal trim fabrication, working construction sites with daily travel to the surrounding jobsites and frequent travel nationally to jobsites. C&T Design will provide the employee with the necessary equipment and technology to be successful in this role.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform skilled work in the delivery and installation of commercial kitchen equipment. This work includes loading and unloading trucks, uncrating equipment, and setting in place, constructing refrigerated walk-in boxes, metal trim fabrication, working on construction sites, travel and overnight stays when needed.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver and install equipment as directed.
• Completes delivery tickets and work orders on all work that has been completed.
• Completes daily time and mileage logs.
• General labor construction duties
• Assumes responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others on assigned jobs.
• Assumes responsibility for care and operations of tools and equipment.
• Performs other routine task as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work is performed while standing or walking. It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, and pulling of arm controls and fine manipulations. The work at times requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, with the ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 75 pounds and must be able to lift 50 pounds overhead. The work requires being around moving machinery, exposure to changes in temperature and humidity, driving automotive equipment, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Basic knowledge of skills in the use of hand, power tools, and warehousing equipment
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor through standing, lifting, climbing, carrying, and crawling.
• Successful Completion of background check and a 9-panel drug screening
• Successful Completion of a D.O.T. physical
• Valid driver's license

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of metal working tools, such as grinders, polishers, and welders
• Basic understanding of plumbing and electric
• Ability to accurately verify equipment quantities, model numbers, and accessories
• Understanding of basic electrical and plumbing requirements related to equipment
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and dollies
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment independently Why Join Us?
