This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing repairs, and keeping industrial equipment running safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will have experience working with conveyors, balers, hydraulic systems, motors, bearings, and industrial machinery in demanding environments. Welding and fabrication skills are highly valued. This is not a desk job. We are looking for someone who takes pride in diagnosing problems, finding solutions, and getting equipment back into operation. Responsibilities Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on conveyors, balers, shredders, and other recycling equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues Complete preventative maintenance inspections and repairs to minimize downtime Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication work as needed Replace and repair bearings, motors, belts, chains, gearboxes, and hydraulic components Assist with facility maintenance, including structural repairs, concrete work, and general upkeep Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures Respond to equipment breakdowns and identify root causes to prevent recurring issues Qualifications 3+ years of industrial maintenance, heavy equipment maintenance, or maintenance mechanic experience Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Experience working with conveyors, balers, hydraulic systems, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and industrial equipment Welding and fabrication experience preferred Ability to read basic mechanical and electrical schematics Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license required CDL is a plus but not required Work Environment intThis position is based in an active recycling and industrial facility. Candidates must be comfortable working around heavy equipment, dust, noise, outdoor conditions, and physically demanding environments. ______________________________________________________
