Full-Time (Shift Work & Extended Hours Required)Compensation Range:
$28.00 - $42.00 per hour (commensurate with trade certifications and relevant experience) Position Overview We are hiring for one of our clients, a leading North American manufacturer of heavy industrial materials and infrastructure solutions. We are seeking an experienced Millwright / Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in both shop and field environments. This position is responsible for heavy industrial machinery including conveyors, crushers, vibrating screens, pumps, motors, piping, dust collectors, and structural steel components. Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Assembly & Installation:
Assemble, install, align, and construct heavy industrial machinery, conveyors, feed bins, chute liners, screen media, gearboxes, and structural supports.Mechanical Maintenance & Overhaul:
Perform disassembly, inspection, overhaul, repair, and reassembly of mechanical and hydraulic systems (shafting, bearings, seals, couplings, pumps, engines, air compressors, and filters).Precision Alignment & Rigging:
Execute precision motor and gearbox alignments. Safely rig, maneuver, and install heavy, complex machinery parts.Fabrication & Pipefitting:
Utilize power and hand tools for measuring, cutting, welding (SMAW/FCAW), threading, bending, and joining pipes, valves, and fittings according to blueprints or schematics.Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
Strict adherence toMSHA/OSHA
safety standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), fall protection, and confined space protocols.Operational Reporting:
Maintain accurate physical and digital equipment repair logs, manage job-specific parts inventory, and maintain high standards of workplace housekeeping.Qualifications & Requirements Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a trade school or apprenticeship program strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant millwright or heavy industrial maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated skill in mechanical troubleshooting, welding, fabrication, pipefitting, and basic industrial electrical work.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine work procedures.
Preferred Certifications & Experience:
AWS D1.1
Structural Steel Welder Certification (SMAW / FCAW processes).- NCCCO Crane Certification, Rigging & Signalperson Certification.
- Hydraulic Systems Certification or formal technical hydraulic training.
- Precision Alignment Certification (Laser or Dial Indicator methods).
- Bearing Installation Certification (SKF, Timken, or equivalent).
- 3+ years of experience in aggregate, mining, or bulk material handling industries.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Ability to work at heights and maintain balance on ladde.
