    Millwright / Industrial Maintenance Technician
      Employment Type:
      Full-Time (Shift-Based / Extended Weeks)
        Base Compensation Range:
        $28.00 - $42.00 per hour (determined by experience, trade certifications, and local market rate) Position Overview We are hiring for one of our clients, a leading North American manufacturer of essential industrial materials and infrastructure solutions. We are seeking an experienced Millwright / Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair dynamic heavy industrial machinery across our plant facilities. This role involves both shop and field work on mechanical systems including conveyors, crushers, vibrating screens, pumps, motors, piping, dust collectors, and related rotating equipment. Key Responsibilities
          Equipment Assembly & Installation:
          Assemble, install, align, and construct heavy industrial machinery, conveyors, feed bins, chute liners, screen media, gearboxes, and structural supports.
            Mechanical Maintenance & Overhaul:
            Perform disassembly, inspection, repair, overhaul, and reassembly of mechanical and hydraulic systems (shafting, bearings, seals, couplings, pumps, engines, air compressors, and filters).
              Precision Alignment & Rigging:
              Perform precision motor and gearbox alignment. Safely rig and maneuver heavy, complex equipment parts.
                Fabrication & Pipefitting:
                Utilize power and hand tools for measuring, cutting, welding (SMAW/FCAW), threading, bending, and joining pipes, valves, and fittings according to blueprints or sketches.
                  Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
                  Adhere strictly to
                  MSHA/OSHA
                  safety regulations, environmental policies, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), fall protection, and confined space protocols.
                    Maintenance Operations:
                    Maintain accurate written and digital equipment repair records, manage parts inventory for assigned jobs, and uphold 5S/housekeeping standards.
                    Qualifications & Requirements Basic Qualifications:
                    • High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an trade apprenticeship or technical trade school program preferred.
                    • 5+ years of relevant millwright or heavy industrial maintenance experience.
                    • Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated skills in welding, fabrication, pipefitting, and basic industrial electrical troubleshooting.
                    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
                    Preferred Certifications & Experience:
                      AWS D1.1
                      Structural Steel Welder Certification (SMAW / FCAW processes).
                      • NCCCO Crane Certification, Rigging & Signalperson Certification.
                      • Hydraulic Systems Certification or formal technical hydraulic training.
                      • Precision Alignment Certification (Laser or Dial Indicator methods).
                      • Bearing Installation Certification (SKF, Timken, or equivalent).
                      • 3+ years of experience in aggregate, mining, or bulk material handling industries.
