Dairy Equipment Installer - (Welding Experience)

Leedstone is growing, and we're looking for a hands-on, hardworking Dairy Equipment Installer to join our Melrose, MN Equipment Team. As a Dairy Equipment Installer, you will assist in the construction and installation of dairy projects and equipment. This individual will regularly complete their work at dairy farms serviced by our Melrose location, as well as occasionally assist at dairy farms serviced by our other location sites in Plainview, MN, Glencoe, MN, Sparta, WI, and Menomonie, WI. Our ideal candidate has a good understanding of metal fabrication, construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment. This individual should have a strong work ethic, and be self-motivated, honest, and dependable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in installation of robotic milking equipment and conventional dairy equipment.
• Install stalls in free stall dairy barns.
• Install flex augers on robotic milking equipment.
• Install and repair waterbeds and mats.
• Assist with the manufacturing and hanging of gates.
• Perform miscellaneous service, repairs, and project work as necessary.
• Regular travel to customer dairy farms required (company vehicle provided).
• Occasional overnights are required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Welding experience required (MIG and TIG preferred)
• Construction experience preferred.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a variety of temperatures indoors and outdoors.
• Valid state driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid DOT Medical Card.
• Understanding of dairy equipment such as parlors, robotic milking systems, etc.

Schedule:

Full-time; Weekdays, typically scheduled four 10-hour days.
