Job Description

Job Summary:
Roth Grains is looking for a Grain Elevator Millwright. This person is a skilled tradesperson responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the mechanical equipment and systems within our grain handling facilities. They will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement and storage of grain.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, and align grain handling equipment, including conveyors, elevators, bins, and other related machinery. Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and implement effective solutions. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications to guide installation and repair work. Fabricate parts and components as needed for repairs and customizations. Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery, including cranes and forklifts. Collaborate with team members and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and to a high standard. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, particularly those related to working at heights, confined spaces, and grain dust hazards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a millwright, preferably in the grain handling or agricultural industry. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various types of grain handling equipment. Ability to weld and fabricate. Comfortable working at heights and in various indoor and outdoor conditions. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Safety-focused mindset and adherence to all safety procedures. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Work Environment:
May work both indoors and outdoors, and be exposed to various weather conditions which can be dusty and noisy. Physical demands include lifting heavy equipment, working in awkward positions, and climbing ladders and structures. Safety is a critical aspect, and strict adherence to safety protocols is essential to prevent accidents and injuries.

$26.00 - $32.00 per hour
