Overnight Industrial Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Hathaway ProcessingOpal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician for night shift for our Hathaway Processing Plant in Neosho, MO. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery while maintaining compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations. This position will also assist the Maintenance Lead with other projects and duties as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

Meet or exceed plant business plan and KPIsKeep equipment running and operational during processing hoursPerform preventive and urgent maintenance of general production machinery and equipmentDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustmentsTake a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses and error proofing controls related to down timeUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform dutiesDetect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisionComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasHave basic SQF knowledge and understandingAdhere to all company Good Manufacturing ProceduresPhysical Requirements of a

Maintenance Technician:

Fast paced work environment.

Lift fifty or more pounds on a regular basis.

Bend, lift, pull, push, stoop, bend and climb.

Requirements:

(knowledge, experience, skills, education)Mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsOrganized and detail orientedWilling to work off schedule shifts and/or days when necessaryPrior experience troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairing industrial processing equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial machinery maintenance within a manufacturing environment
