Job Description

3rd shift Monday- Friday, 6:00 PM - 5:30 AM Scot Forge, 100% employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings. At Scot Forge, we help our customers succeed in their most critical initiatives with forged solutions for everything from the world's physical infrastructure, energy and transportation to manufacturing, mining, and our national defense. From the wheels of NASA's Curiosity Mars Rover to mission critical components for nuclear submarines, to large hydraulic cylinders for the largest mining trucks on the planet, Scot Forge creates precision forged metal parts used in demanding applications all over the world.
Position Summary:
Perform duties to assist in the building, rebuilding and repairing of production machine tools.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work from maintenance manuals, prints, work orders and instructions from Leadership.
  • Repair a variety of equipment involving mechanical, hydraulic and electrical functions.
  • Test and tear down equipment and replace defective parts and component units as directed.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities, check equipment function and operation as needed.
  • Assist in the installation or relocation of equipment.
  • Document blueprint changes.
  • Perform repair and fabrication welding and torch operations as required.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate guidelines for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical blueprints
  • Experience with basic hand tools, micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring equipment.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to tolerate a wide variety of temperature ranges from hot to cold.
  • Work in awkward positions, bending, kneeling and crouching down.
  • Repetitive lifting from ground level to overhead.

The estimated pay range for this position is the lowest and highest range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. The actual pay offered to a candidate will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, geographic location and prevailing minimum wage, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
