Full Job Description Job Title:
Journeyman Inside Wireman (IBEW)•
Shop Position Job Summary:
IBEW Local 553 is seeking experienced Journeyman Inside Wiremen for a shop-based position. This is a long-term opportunity with an estimated duration of 2 years, offering above-scale pay and a steady, consistent schedule.
Compensation:
$32.44/hour
Schedule:
Five 8-hour days, 40 hours per week
Requirements:
Minimum 8,000 documented hours of electrical work (verified via W-2s or pay stubs) Journeyman-level experience in industrial electrical installation Valid OSHA-10 certification within the last 5 years (Local 553 can assist with certification) Must pass a pre-employment background check Must pass a substance abuse test Available for a full-time schedule for the duration of the project
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and code requirements Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, terminations, and equipment installation Work safely and in compliance with OSHA and shop requirements How to
