Position Maintenance Technician (Industrial Solutions) Location Hendersonville, NC This position will be based at the BorgWarner Arden facility in Western North Carolina and will transition to a new facility in Hendersonville, NC. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role requires a mechanically minded individual with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities who can quickly diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions. Beyond restoring equipment to service, the Maintenance Technician is expected to proactively investigate recurring failures, drive permanent solutions, and support continuous improvement efforts that enhance equipment reliability, operational performance, and overall plant productivity. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment to safely restore operations and minimize downtime. Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability, performance, and operational efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and recurring issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions to reduce repeat failures and improve long-term reliability. Support equipment installations, modifications, and facility improvement projects, utilizing maintenance, fabrication, and welding skills as needed. Read, interpret, and modify technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals to support maintenance activities and equipment improvements. Promote a safe and compliant work environment by following and enforcing safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, identifying hazards, and supporting corrective actions. Collaborate with production, engineering, and fellow maintenance technicians to resolve issues, improve equipment performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain quality standards, complete required documentation, and perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Required High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or related field and 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and industrial maintenance experience. Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment in an industrial environment. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills. Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics. Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of PLC-based control systems for troubleshooting purposes. Ability to safely use fabrication equipment, hand tools, and maintenance equipment. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Regular and reliable attendance. Preferred Experience working with CNC, PLC, servo-driven, and automated manufacturing equipment. Experience with welding, metal fabrication, machine installation, and rigging. Experience troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls and low- to medium-voltage electrical systems. Knowledge of HVAC and facility maintenance systems. Experience supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
